Just Announced the Viking 66 Convertible Yacht

Viking Yachts is at it again. As a premiere sport fishing and cruising yacht manufacturer they know what it takes to make a
top of class vessel. They have just announced the future release of the newly designed Viking 66 Convertible Yacht. She will be debuting in October, 2011 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
This has been a much awaited size in the Viking convertible yacht line-up. Along with the 66, Viking has just released the 42 Open Yacht with the pod-drive propulsion system. At the 15th Annual VIP Preview it was seen maneuvering sideways. This gives the yacht the ability to squeeze into tight spaces under her own power.
Practical for tournament campaigns, the salon will be delightfully spacious and elegant. For rest and relaxation the 66 will have four staterooms each with its own head and shower stall. Viking didn’t forget about the crew, providing them access to their stateroom via the engine room.
The command station on the flying bridge wil
l be center console providing superior visibility, plenty of electronic stowage and three helm seats. Both port and starboard will have convenient jump seats, and additional seating will be forward to provide comfort and viewing. Viking hasn’t forgotten anything with this new design.
The cockpit will be no slouch at 174 square feet. It will feature an upper observation mezzanine with built-in freezer, refrigerated cooler, engine room access and tackle/gear stowage. The lower cockpit will have plenty of room to fish. It will showcase an oversized insulated fish box, live well tub and a dunnage compartment. To add to the
list it will also have flush rod holders, walk-through transom door with lift gate, rounded coamings, stereo speakers, twin Glendinning Cablemasters, gaff and tag stick stowage.
