Ron’s love for boating developed from his early years as a boy, sailing prams on the Manatee River and later racing and sailing larger boats in regattas as a young man. By the age of 34, Ron set his course in the yachting industry by owning his own company beginning with Hirsh Sailing Yachts in 1976; followed by Hirsh Sailing Charters and Hirsh Power Yachts.

During these years, Ron commissioned to have his own U.S. Coast Guard approved signature yachts built for his charter company, including forty Hirsh 45’s and one 62’sailing yacht. Soon thereafter, Ron expanded his interests to include marina development; his first Regatta Point Marina in Palmetto, Florida followed by Holmes Beach Marina in Holmes Beach, Florida.

It wasn’t until 1996 that Ron joined Galati Yacht Sales on Anna Maria Island. Throughout his tenure there, Ron has served as a Certified Professional Yacht Broker, Sales Manager and Product Manager. He specializes in selling new and pre-owned late model Vikings, Princess, Grand Banks, and other large luxury yachts.

Ron offers invaluable assistance in structuring complex transactions due to his keen insight of the inner workings of the yacht sales business.
