Contact Ron HirshbergRon’s love for boating developed from his early years as a boy, sailing prams on the Manatee River and later racing and sailing larger boats in regattas as a young man. By the age of 34, Ron set his course in the yachting industry by owning his own company beginning with Hirsh Sailing Yachts in 1976; followed by Hirsh Sailing Charters and Hirsh Power Yachts.
During these years, Ron commissioned to have his own U.S. Coast Guard approved signature yachts built for his charter company, including forty Hirsh 45’s and one 62’sailing yacht. Soon thereafter, Ron expanded his interests to include marina development; his first Regatta Point Marina in Palmetto, Florida followed by Holmes Beach Marina in Holmes Beach, Florida.
It wasn’t until 1996 that Ron joined Galati Yacht Sales on Anna Maria Island. Throughout his tenure there, Ron has served as a Certified Professional Yacht Broker, Sales Manager and Product Manager. He specializes in selling new and pre-owned late model Vikings, Princess, Grand Banks, and other large luxury yachts.
Ron offers invaluable assistance in structuring complex transactions due to his keen insight of the inner workings of the yacht sales business. Chris Carrere, a fifth generation Florida native, has spent his career and entire life in the Tampa region, nurturing his passion for boating and sport fishing. He graduated from The University of the South, Sewanee, in 1999 with a B.A. degree in economics. Not only is he a Certified, Professional Yacht Broker, but he is also a licensed U.S.C.G. Captain and has worked professionally on the crews of several Vikings.
Based on his first-hand experience, Chris has developed a specialty in Sport Fish yachts including his certification from Viking on their Master’s Course and being a part of the Billfish Extreme Release League, winning first place on the 2006 team.
With nine years as a Yacht Broker, Chris has the expertise to assist in building or purchasing the right yacht for a customer based upon their objective, lifestyle, budget and skill level; whether it is new or a previously owned yacht. He is familiar with all the major brands, including many specialized custom manufacturers.
His integrity, knowledge and family values have always been an important aspect of his high repeat customer volume. In fact, he was honored as the Top Salesman in 2010 for brokerage sales. Chris and his lovely wife, Elizabeth, reside in South Tampa with their 3 children and are very involved in charitable and community activities, including The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of which Chris is a Board member. Aside from fishing in tournaments and with his family, Chris also enjoys hunting and participating in triathlons.

Ryan Hirshberg was raised in the marine industry, growing up at his family’s marinas and boat dealerships. He spent much of his teenage years rigging, working the docks and in dry storage operations. He started selling boats by the age of 20 for the local Carver Yachts dealer and moved up quickly to become one of the top producing sales reps by the time he was a licensed yacht broker for Galati Yacht Sales in 2002.
Ryan earned the designation of a Certified Professional Yacht Broker as soon as the program became available and has experience selling yachts from 35’ to 130' Mega Yachts. He has worked through the various economic climates and changing trends of the yachting industry, which offers his clients valuable and insightful information regarding the fluctuating buying and selling environments.
He has been trained and certified by many prestigious and respectable Yacht builders including Viking, Princess, Tiara, Grand Banks, Cruisers, Carver, Marquis and Maritimo. Ryan continues to travel to their factories to keep informed with improvements on new construction methods, product trends, as well as following up with his customer’s new boat builds.

In 1967 Ray began his career in the boating industry working as a marine mechanic in Clearwater, Florida. He got his Captain's license at age 19 and worked as a guide in Key West for 9 years, fishing over 300 trips per year. Fishing trips in Mexico, the Florida Keys, the northern gulf and Costa Rica earned him a record number of catches in sailfish and Grand Slams. Some of Capt. Craig's finer accomplishments have been winning the Top Captain Award in the Treasure Cay Championship in 2009, and taking 1st Place in the Treasure Cay leg of the Bahamas Billfish Championship, also taking 2nd Place in Boat Harbour and winning 3rd Place overall for the BBC that same year onboard "True Grit."
